OurDream vs Dream Companion: Pricing, Chat & Features Compared

By Adults-AI · Updated

Dream Companion has the lower displayed Premium entry amount; OurDream gives you a more detailed published media-cost schedule. Both combine fictional-character chat with paid media features. Choose by the plan, payment commitment and actions you need, rather than comparing unlike coin balances or assuming that a memory claim proves better conversation.

We checked public pricing controls, help pages and product updates on October 3, 2026, without purchasing or testing paid chat or generation. OurDream identifies USD; Dream Companion's screen shows $ without an ISO currency code. These are observed offers, not guaranteed local checkout totals. Confirm currency, taxes and renewal terms.

OurDream and Dream Companion subscription prices

Compare equivalent billing terms first. Dream Companion Premium displays $11.99 monthly or $69.99 annually, while OurDream Premium lists US$19.99 monthly or US$119.88 annually. The latter matches the help centre's Standard plan. Dream Companion's lower displayed amount is a useful starting point, but its unspecified dollar currency prevents a precise cross-brand cash-saving calculation.

The higher tiers are separate offers: Dream Companion Ultimate is $44.99 monthly or $299.88 annually; OurDream Deluxe is US$59.99 monthly or US$359.88 annually. Dividing the annual charges by twelve gives $24.99 and US$29.99 respectively, not monthly instalments. Dream Premium's $69.99 annual charge is approximately $5.83 per month, also paid upfront.

Allowances arrive monthly even with annual billing. Dream Companion lists 100 coins on Premium and 800 on Ultimate; OurDream lists 1,000 and 5,000. The annual screens add a first-month bonus equal to those respective monthly grants. Dream labels its bonus limited-time. Do not count the bonus every month or assume you receive a year's coins immediately.

Chat limits, model choices and memory

Dream Companion currently advertises unlimited messages on both paid tiers. Ultimate adds extended chat memory and advanced AI models to its benefit list. These are advertised differences, not evidence that every detail is remembered or that Ultimate writes better replies. We have not run matched conversations, so there is no measured chat-quality winner.

OurDream's help guide lists ordinary subscriber chat at zero coins and older Genius/Lively Genius responses at one coin. Deluxe's current offer includes Premium chat models. Its October 2 update also says Genius and Muse Genius are being retired and will not appear for most new users. Check the actual model available in your account and its price; an older tariff is not a guarantee of continued availability. Deluxe also advertises three times the chat memory, without defining a measured retention result.

Creating characters on OurDream and Dream Companion

Both services support fictional companions rather than contact with a real performer. OurDream's cost guide lists ten Dreamcoins to create a chatbot, including its first two images. Extra image attempts draw on the balance. That makes repeated character creation part of the budget, not simply a free consequence of subscribing.

Dream Companion lets you browse a catalogue with style and scenario filters or create a character with appearance and personality choices. This can help when you already have a story in mind. Its character and memory marketing does not establish consistent appearance or reliable long-term recall. Compare the available controls and conversation style before committing to a year; the published feature lists cannot settle those subjective differences.

Images, video and voice: budgeting beyond chat

OurDream documents ten coins for two standard images and 50 per voice-call minute. A hypothetical month with 20 such images and four call minutes uses 300 Dreamcoins: (20 ÷ 2 × 10) + (4 × 50). That leaves 700 from Premium's normal 1,000-coin grant. Creation, retries, premium-model replies and other media spend the same balance; this is a calculation, not a paid test or an extra cash charge.

Video needs its own setting-specific quote. The older guide lists 100 coins per five seconds of standard video, while the September 26 product update gives Prime a separate ten-coin rate. These are different offerings, not interchangeable prices for identical output. Dream Companion lists image/video generation and calls on both paid tiers, but we did not establish a complete current action tariff. Its 800 Ultimate coins therefore cannot honestly be converted into the same activity basket or declared better value than 1,000 OurDream coins.

For top-ups and grant timing, see OurDream Dreamcoin costs and allowances.

Cancellation and access after the subscription

OurDream's cancellation guide directs you to the profile, cancellation and confirmation, with access through the paid period. Its expiry help says existing images, videos and community packs become blurred without an active subscription. The same page says coins do not expire, but the older cancellation guide says unused coins are not restored with a new subscription. That conflict remains unresolved; do not fund a long break on an assumed balance-preservation rule.

Dream Companion's terms describe Settings, Unsubscribe and confirmation to stop future renewal. They distinguish cancellation from refunding a paid period, with case-by-case refund consideration for provider errors or technical issues and stricter local protections preserved. We did not verify post-subscription media access or coin expiry there. Check the next billing date and keep confirmation on either service; neither published cancellation route was tested in a paid account.

Which Should You Choose?

Consider OurDream for an itemized media budget

Its documented action rates help estimate selected image and voice use. Confirm current models, tier inclusion and the effect of a subscription ending before relying on that budget.

Consider Dream Companion for its Premium entry offer

Premium already lists messaging and media access at the lower displayed entry amount. Ultimate is worth considering for specific advertised extras, once the action costs and larger commitment fit your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are OurDream and Dream Companion the same service?

No. OurDream uses ourdream.ai; Dream Companion uses mydreamcompanion.com. Their accounts, subscriptions and similarly named coin systems are separate. A coin balance on one is not credit on the other.

How much can a free preview establish?

It can help you inspect the interface and available characters. Dream Companion's July 2024 terms describe one character and typically 10 to 20 messages, but we did not verify a current fresh-account quota or reset. OurDream's guide prices free-user messages at one coin; no current signup grant was verified. Neither preview establishes paid memory, media quality or unlimited free chat.
