Candy AI Tokens: Prices, Monthly Credits & Extra Costs

Candy AI separates subscription access from token spending. Standard Premium includes 100 tokens each month; Premium Plus lists 330. Ordinary paid text chat does not use that balance, but some additional features do. Using up your tokens therefore does not mean you have used up your paid text messages.

The figures below were checked against Candy's public pages on September 21, 2026. Subscription prices are visible publicly. The extra-token purchase page required a login during our check, so we could not verify its current pack prices. We also found conflicting official information about what happens to unused tokens after cancellation.

How Many Tokens Does Candy AI Include?

The allowance depends on the plan, not just whether your account is paid.

The standard allowance comes from Candy's paid-user documentation. The Premium Plus help page, updated August 28, 2026, lists the larger allowance and limits the top-up bonus to those two billing terms. Don't assume a monthly Plus subscription gets the same bonus.

Plus includes features beyond credits, so dividing its subscription price by its token allowance would not establish a standalone token price. Its current subscription charge was not visible in the public offer we checked.

Subscription Prices: Monthly Charge vs Upfront Payment

These are the standard Premium prices shown on the public USD offer, checked September 21, 2026. They are subscription charges, not token-pack prices.

The annual option charges the whole US$47.88 upfront. It is not a US$3.99 payment collected each month. The public payment wording says the subscription renews automatically for the same price and term, and that local taxes may apply.

We also received a euro-denominated offer in a separate browser session. Check the currency and final charge shown to you rather than treating this USD snapshot as a worldwide price list. The official subscription page is the source for this table.

What Uses Tokens, and What Does Not?

Candy's explanation of additional token purchases separates normal paid chatting from features that need a credit balance.

Candy's token-use guide identifies these categories, but does not provide a complete current rate card. We could not establish a reliable public figure for every action. That means 100 tokens cannot be translated into a guaranteed number of images, videos or voice minutes from this documentation alone.

Avoid Unintended Image Charges in Chat

Text chat and an image requested through a chat are different actions. If your aim is to keep a conversation text-only, Candy documents an Image Generation toggle in the Ask menu, on desktop and mobile. Its toggle instructions say image generation is on by default for Premium users and can be disabled.

That setting controls image responses. It should not be read as a promise that every other feature becomes token-free. We checked the documentation, not a paid-account session.

How Much Do Extra Candy AI Tokens Cost?

We could not verify a current public token-pack price list. Candy's top-up help article confirms additional purchases are possible, but the purchase screen redirected our signed-out browser to a login page.

We have therefore left pack prices unquoted rather than presenting third-party estimates as current Candy prices. The monthly subscription charge above is not a substitute for that missing price list.

If you already have access to a pack offer, compare it using:

Price per token = final pack charge / total tokens credited.

Include a bonus only when the offer confirms you qualify for it. Compare packs in the same currency and on the same tax basis. A lower unit cost can still mean a higher upfront payment for credits you may not use.

Keep three numbers separate: what your subscription costs, how many tokens arrive with it, and what an optional recharge costs. Combining all three into one advertised "price per token" can hide the commitment you are making.

When Do Monthly Credits Arrive?

Premium's refresh follows your original subscription day, according to the token-replenishment help page. It is not described as a reset for everyone on the first of the calendar month.

For example, under that rule, a subscription started on the 12th would receive its monthly allocation on the 12th. The help page does not explain how shorter months handle subscriptions started on the 29th, 30th or 31st, so check your account's displayed date in those cases.

Annual Billing Does Not Mean Annual Credit Delivery

The paid-user help page says annual subscribers receive their 100 tokens each month while the subscription payment is collected annually. Do not budget on receiving 1,200 tokens immediately after paying for a year.

If credits appear to be missing, compare the expected allocation date with your account and payment records. A calendar-month change alone does not establish that an allocation is overdue.

Do Candy AI Tokens Expire or Carry Over?

Candy's public sources disagree about cancellation. This matters if you are considering a large recharge before ending a subscription.

• The cancellation and remaining-token help article, updated August 25, 2026, says the balance is retained after the account returns to Free. It says the tokens are hidden while on Free and can be used after resubscribing.
• Section 10.2 of the Terms of Service, revised September 22, 2026, says remaining tokens expire at the end of the paid period after cancellation and cannot be carried into a new subscription.

The conflicting documents do not establish which rule will be applied to your account. Ask support to confirm your balance's treatment before relying on either outcome, especially if it contains purchased credits. Keep the written reply with your purchase records.

Neither a new monthly allocation nor those conflicting cancellation statements establishes a clear general rollover rule for an uninterrupted subscription. We could not verify one from the public pages checked.

Work Out Your Budget Before Adding Credits

Use the amount actually charged, rather than the largest discount on the pricing card.

1. Start with the upfront subscription payment. For the USD annual offer above, that is US$47.88, even though the monthly equivalent is US$3.99.
2. Track recharges separately. Add the final charges for packs you actually buy. Do not count the included monthly allowance as another cash purchase.
3. Check the cost of the action you intend to use. A balance by itself says little about how long it will last without a verified per-action charge.
4. Set a spending limit before the balance reaches zero. Reaching zero does not require you to buy more just to continue ordinary paid text chat.

If you pay annually, dividing your annual subscription and recharge spending by twelve gives an average monthly cost. It does not change the timing of the payments or turn the agreement into a monthly plan.

Before cancelling, also check the separate official cancellation instructions. Cancellation, an unused balance and a refund are different questions; don't assume one automatically resolves the others.
