The documented monthly base plans are tied at US$19.99. Annual billing is different: Secrets Premium lists US$109.99 and OurDream Standard US$119.88, a US$9.89 difference paid upfront. The US$9.17 and US$9.99 monthly equivalents are not monthly payment options. A lower annual charge is useful only if that service fits your intended use and commitment.

Secrets Ultimate is a separate tier at US$39.99 monthly or US$319.99 annually, with 15,000 monthly Moments and additional controls such as personas and group conversations. Do not compare its benefits using Premium's price. OurDream's annual 2,000-coin initial grant includes a one-time 1,000-coin bonus; subsequent monthly grants are 1,000, not 2,000.

Creating a Character and Editing It Later

OurDream's paid-user cost guide lists 10 Dreamcoins to create a chatbot, including the first two images. Secrets' character guide describes a free first custom character and 500 Moments for additional characters. These are different units, so the number alone does not establish which creation costs less in money. Budget repeated creation and image retries separately from ordinary conversation.

Secrets documents a Character Studio where an appearance batch gives four options for 100 Moments; editing an existing character's personality requires Ultimate. Initial personality setup is a different step. Public or in-review characters have editing restrictions, so creating a character does not mean every field remains editable in every visibility state.

OurDream's help centre prohibits uploaded reference photos. Secrets' optional advanced reference is selected from images already generated for that character, and its guide prohibits characters based on real people. For an original fictional character, compare the creation flow and ongoing editing controls you need. Neither description demonstrates better visual consistency or personality accuracy.

Check Which Chat Mode Uses Credits

Secrets documents unlimited paid messaging. OurDream lists standard subscriber chat at zero Dreamcoins, but Genius and Lively Genius responses cost one coin each. If you select one of those modes, conversational use draws on the same budget you may want for media. Fifty such responses would consume 50 Dreamcoins before any image or call.

For mostly text conversation, assess the character style you prefer before choosing a higher tier for more credits. Secrets' personas and group conversations on Ultimate are specific interaction options, not proof of better recall. We have not run matched continuing conversations or a memory test, so neither brand gets a quality winner from its plan description.

A Worked Image and Voice Budget

Consider a hypothetical month with 20 base images and ten voice-call minutes. OurDream's published rates give (20 ÷ 2) × 10 + 10 × 50 = 600 Dreamcoins, or 60% of the normal 1,000-coin grant. Secrets' base rates give 20 × 50 + 10 × 50 = 1,500 Moments, or 18.75% of Premium's 8,000-Moment grant. This measures allowance consumption for those categories, not equal output quality or a separate cash bill.

The example excludes character creation, retries, editing, video and paid chat-model responses. OurDream lists 100 coins for five seconds of standard video; Secrets' video price depends on the chosen mode and settings, so inspect the displayed quote. Different resolutions and outputs cannot be treated as interchangeable. Compare any required top-up using its actual checkout total rather than dividing the entire subscription price by a media count.

When Credits Arrive and What Carries Over

Both base plans provide monthly credits even when paid annually. Secrets says ordinary grant Moments do not roll over, while purchased Moments do not expire. Its documented exception converts unused grant Moments into top-ups when upgrading from a monthly plan. That exception is not a promise that every unused monthly balance accumulates indefinitely.

OurDream documents monthly issuance, but we did not establish a complete active-subscription rollover policy from the checked pages. Its cancellation guide says coins remain usable through the paid period and old unused coins are not restored when a new subscription is started later. Both services require an active paid subscription to purchase extra credits. Check grant timing and the actual top-up offer before funding a longer project.

What Happens If You Stop Subscribing?

OurDream's help centre says a subscription is needed for image/video generation and that existing media becomes blurred without one. Secrets says chats, memories, characters and generated content are preserved when the account returns to Free. Preserved content does not mean ongoing access to every paid generation or interaction feature. This distinction matters if you want a short creative project rather than continuous use.

Both cancellation guides describe access through the remaining paid period and distinguish cancellation from an automatic refund. OurDream points to the profile page and confirmation; Secrets points to Settings > Manage Subscription. Check the current terms for your payment method and keep the confirmation. These are documented routes, not cancellation experiences we tested.
